What does my body say?
The mind is loud. It analyzes, predicts, overthinks, and pulls us into old stories on repeat.
But the body?
The body is honest. Quiet. Present.
It doesn’t lie—it just speaks a language we’re often taught to ignore.
You may have inherited thoughts like:
“I have to be strong all the time.”
“If I slow down, I’ll fall behind.”
“If I speak up, I’ll be too much.”
But your body often has a very different message.
✨ Today’s Practice: Reconnect with the body
Find a quiet space. Sit or lie down in stillness for a few minutes.
Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly. Breathe into both.
Ask your body: – “What do I feel right now?” – “What do I need?” – “What have I been ignoring?”
Don’t rush for answers. Let the response come as sensation, image, memory, or emotion.
Sometimes your body will say: I’m tired.
Sometimes it says: I’m scared.
Other times it whispers: You’re safe now. It’s okay to let go.
💬 Optional reflection:
What did your body say today?
Was it in agreement with your thoughts—or did it tell a different story?
You’re invited to share below, or simply carry the insight with you through the day.
Today, let your body lead.
Truth doesn’t shout. It settles.
Your last two sentences are very insightful. Thanks.
